You’ll also discover the differences between addition, tolerance, and dependence as they relate to pain management.

  2. Define and distinguish between the following terms: addiction, tolerance, and dependence.
  3. Identify four areas of "total pain" in patients and establish patient driven pain goals.
  4. Explain how different types of pain require different multi-modal pain management approaches.
